Created by Fabio Di Bartolomei for figuræ by JDS, the Spot armchair has been presented at the 2007 Neocon in Chicago. Its comfortable and free shape makes it suitable for a variety of spaces, especially modern restaurants and hotels, waiting and reception areas, meeting rooms and offices a well as living rooms in homes.

The Spot armchair is available with a goblet-shaped round base, in chrome or epoxy powders varnished steel; or with four legs of chrome steel tubing. The flexible polyurethane version is CATAS tested on standards EN1728:2000 for static load on seat and back, for horizontal and vertical static load on armrests, for wear resistance on seat and back; the stability of the full seat is tested on standards EN1022:2005. These certifications make the Spot armchair suitable for the public institutions other than reaffirming its extreme reliability.

figuræ produces also a matching Spot bench for the waiting areas in airports, stations, service companies and offices, built with the shells of the Spot armchair, mounted on a structure in anodised aluminum with painted ABS plugs, soft polyurethane legs with adjustable feet. The Spot chair with arms is perfect if coordinated in to the bench in the same interior.
