The office and kitchen furniture: the folding chair
There is nothing less definite than a folding chair. A folding chair has the characteristic to be of light weight, has usually four legs, a seat, a back rest and is made of metal, wood, plastic, all combined or separate. At times the seat and back are in fabric while the body is wooden or metal.
If the construction is plastic, the whole chair is normally of the same stuff. Often suitable for outdoor use, it's a resource when you have run out of
your table chairs and you wish to add some places to a table in your private home. You can also have director, kitchen, bar, beach folding chairs. There are even folding beach beds and deckchairs.
It is therefore very difficult to explain concretely what it looks like exactly.
There are few things more useful than folding chairs. When not in use, they stay hidden behind doors, stacked in piles in cellars and garrets, in spare spaces of churches and conference rooms, in storage rooms of restaurants and medical studies, in a car boot or a caravan; when needed, a simple sequence of actions brings the stored chairs to life and to gain the status of chair instead that of an apparently purposeless flattened object. These plain actions do not need particular skills or cleverness and are within everybody's grasp.
Therefore no particular recommendation or suggestion before use, except that of ensure that the chair has been correctly opened and also blocked if the model foresees this, to avoid any danger or threat of folding back on itself and on its user.
