Chaises longues
More an objet d'art than a simple piece of furniture, even if the common destination of a chaise longue (often but incorrectly written "chaise lounge") is generally the living room, this imposing seat has remarkable effects on the room aspect suggesting further visible locations, where its sinuous lines, associated to this generous seat, allow . The dimensions of the chaise longue easily accommodate someone comfortably stretched out.
The construction is not tied to specific materials, in fact everybody can figure the absolutely recognizable design by Le Corbusier, in which the seat is made with steel tube structure and leather.
In the long list of possible materials, we can count wood, rattan, plastic and rubber in all various declinations, metal mesh differentiated in spans (big as a metal fence, small as a tea strainer), fabric or other textiles for the seat.
Since the object has a peculiar grace and as most of the non absolutely necessary pieces are chosen on the wave of emotional involvement, the chaise longue is a piece to be enjoyed and displayed according to the user's feelings in the room that best suits the dweller's sensations.
More of these seats are to be found here, with all their rules and exceptions.
