The chairs: alternative chairs
In the range of chairs, a word must be spent on the alternative chairs: weird design, peculiar shapes, modern look and with the clear purpose of hitting the eye.
It is possible that the comfort is at times sacrificed on the altar of fashion and art performance, to create an inventive object that can also be used as (but it does not look really like) a chair. Many times ergonomics is one of the main guiding lines for the designer of an alternative chair, the real challenge is to match ergonomics to aesthetics.
Materials for an alternative chair do not need to be alternative. The present industrial proposals of raw stuff is almost infinitive, from all kinds of plastic polymers to any treated metal or wood, including glass, lucite, leather, innovative and traditional fabrics, combined together in innumerable ways.
